Value Proposition Canvas

This is our Value Proposition Canvas, a very strong tool that will help identifying and profiling the customers while explaining why and how our product suits them.

It is structured in two blocks each of them divided in the parts:

Left – Customer Profile:
  • Jobs: jobs the customer is trying to get done
  • Pains: negative outcomes that customers try to avoid like dissatisfactions, risks, or obstacles.
  • Gains: positive outcomes the customers try to achieve, concrete results by which they will measure the success for job well done.
Right – Value Map:
  • Products and services: existing technologies or products our value proposition builds on.
  • Gain Creators: How they produce, increase or maximize outcomes and benefits our customers expect, desire or will be surprised by.
  • Pain Relievers: what our product will do or use to solve customers’ pains

Since we are focusing on providing a better sleep quality probably some of the elements in the canvas will sound familiar to the reader. Everyone has suffered from lack of sleep even if it was just once were you could not rest properly.

This project is aimed to solve problems affecting aspects of the customer´s life caused by sleep deprivation or a bad quality of sleep. We can see that the main jobs the customer wants to get done are sleeping, relaxing, disconnecting or just resting in general. This business niche has been targeted many times so the customer may already have some experience with products created to solve this. That might cause some prejudice such as it creating technology addiction. Also, other pains our customer might have but sometimes don’t have the time or energy to solve.

After using our product, customers expect to be happier in general which will have some serious repercussions in their day to day life such as improved creativity, the creation of stronger memories, feeling more energetic and as a consequence being more productive, among others.

On the left side of the canvas we can see what our product will do to solve each and everyone of the mentioned issues, its strong point being a machine-learning software that give a fully personalized experience.
